The Vistula River Museum in Tczew relates the history of shipping on the river Vistula, the part it played in bringing wealth to the towns situated along it, and also of the boats and ships used in the Vistula’s catchment area. Among the exhibits we find examples of goods rafted to Gdansk, for example, timber, copper and iron from a 15th-century cargo ship, as well as a unique collection of more than 30 crafts used for river shipping, the oldest of which is a logboat some 3200 years old.
