subject: Hallo from the Baltic Sea

Dear Grandpa,
I am still excited by my first sea voyage, even though it is rather calm. No storm is forecast, I am afraid. Capt. Majkowski says this is typical for the Baltic at the beginning of summer.
Did you know that this was the first Polish regular shipping line to run from Gdansk and Gdynia to London and Hull? It was established in 1928 by the Polish-British Shipping Company. Captain Majkowski also told me that before WW2 Polish shipowners preferred to buy ships built in Great Britain, as our shipyards were considered reliable and modern.
I feel very good, no sea-sickness as yet. Just as if I was a sea dog’s offspring :-)
Hugs
Harry the Voyager
PS. Captain Majkowski says ‘Hallo’ to you. He told me a few stories from the times you worked together on the North Atlantic line. Cool!
